A true test of the resources and abilities of a temporary service is their ability to successfully respond to their clients' project staffing requests. This is especially true when the need occurs with little advance notice and requires assignment personnel with skill sets that are out of the ordinary for the usual job description staffed by McCall.
McCall frequently meets these challenges and consistently exceeds service expectations; the following are examples that demonstrate our resourceful response to unique project challenges.
A telephone customer service center required McCall assistance to staff call-center representatives for temporary and temp-to-hire positions. Within two weeks McCall had more than 30 employees on assignment.
As volume grew to over 100 McCall temporary employees on assignment, two full-time McCall employees worked at the client site for 4 years to ensure client and temporary employee satisfaction.
Due to direct hire and natural attrition, McCall supplied over 300 employees before the client relocated out of California. McCall also acted as "master vendor" to track pay and performance of sub-vendor service providers.
McCall has quickly supplied multiple data entry personnel for clients such as Charles Schwab, Wells Fargo Bank and others. One project involved coordinating 15 McCall staff who worked several shifts to replace data lost in the aftermath of the client's problematic computer conversion.
In less than one week, McCall staffed 15 to 20 help-desk and technical provisioning positions for two different clients.
McCall often staffs for positions lasting a year or more. This challenge requires careful screening to identify the employees who will honor the long-term commitment. A prime example of our ability to identify long-term employees was a 25-person administrative staffing project where our employees helped close down Bay Area operations for a company moving to Southern California.
Most of our employees were on assignment for more than two years. Several employees were so key to the relocation project that they were chosen to commute to Southern California at client expense to complete the assignment.
McCall quickly staffed a merger transition team for Bank of America, supplying 43 temporary employees who worked in Pleasant Hill, Concord and San Francisco. Positions included management, team leaders, clerical, secretarial and programming personnel working and moving between several branch locations.
IBM chose McCall Staffing Services as their first contract provider to recruit and fill 29 positions that were a hybrid between regular and temporary employment (i.e., working on the client's payroll as an hourly employee without benefits for a period of 6 to 12 months).
In less than 24 hours, McCall staffed a 12-person telemarketing/survey project.
Beginning in 2009, McCall has efficiently sourced and organized, 25 Holiday tree and office decorators to work on the weekend following Thanksgiving for a high profile, high security client. Our client was effusive in her compliments about our McCall elves creativity, great spirits and teamwork...as well as significant savings over professional decorating firms (in fact several of our elves are design professionals!). We've been promised the 'return engagement' for years to come....with many of the same employees looking forward to returning year after year too!
McCall regularly responds to requests for multiple employees available for weekend and evening "swing-shift" positions ranging in responsibility from accounting, administrative assistants, executive secretaries and/or supervisory positions.
